Other programs such as New Directions for Attorneys run by Pace Law School assist reentry attorneys by offering classes and a twelve week externship with a legal employer. The externship sometimes extends to become a permanent position if the candidate earns it and an opportunity exists. Amy Gewirtz conceived the idea for and co-founded the New Directions program in after, as a law school alumni career counselor, she saw that no existing resources were available to support the dozens of alumni who called her about wanting to return to work.
With continuing frequency, reentry attorneys also utilize the resources of iRelaunch, a now global organization offering high quality annual conferences, boot camps, coaching, and other products and services that bridge the gap between returning relaunchers and employers. Carroll Welch is a career coach and counselor who supports and advises professionals at all levels on career development, re-entry and transition issues and tools, including resume and cover letter drafting, interview preparation and networking strategies.

Fall Entry: Students who begin in the traditional fall semester may enroll in two consecutive summer sessions and complete their program a semester early to fulfill the two and half year accelerated degree. A: While there is no final deadline as we work on rolling admissions, the priority application deadline for spring entry is December 1st. Decisions typically take weeks after completion of your application.
Q: If I enter in the spring semester, will I be at a disadvantage from my peers who are enrolled in the traditional full-time three year program? A: No. Students entering in the spring accelerated program will be fully integrated into law school life and have access to all the same services and activities available to first-year fall start students, including financial aid, career services, student groups and law review. For spring accelerated students interested in law review, there will be a separate write-on competition after the final exam of the summer session.
Pace operates on a rolling admission program, meaning students may still apply and be accepted for enrollment following the December 1st suggested deadline. Pace Law and Focus Approach, LLC, have established a program that helps students strengthen their applications to the Juris Doctor JD program and prepares them for success in law school. The student must satisfactorily complete the live or online Focus Approach LSAT preparatory course as well as the legal writing component taught by a Pace Law-appointed instructor.
