No, I am having the same issue. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled fresh, also tried a repair of the new install and still get unknown error when trying to update virus definitions. Came in to see if there was an answer to this as have had this problem for around a week or so same as above will look for the avast clear see what that does I've seen a report from someone where his ISP was the problem.
